Automobiles..|..Architecture

Automobile emerged after the industrial revolution, where it was a direct application of the available techniques to serve such functions. In modern days, technologies went even farther ahead. The form and needs are no longer dominated by tools. These thoughts resulted from the humans' intellects that prefer the free standing way of thinking. It doesn't stop questioning... "Why this, why that"?

The same mind might rise this question.. Can architects be involved in automobile design? or should they just do what they're used to do.. buildings!

There is an architect who is involved in footwear, so why not cars?

Architecture has evolved since the industrial revolution .............blah ...blah..Blah. ALL THE ACADAMIC (B.S)
So since then architects’ have become involved in nearly everything they don’t only design objects , buildings, fashion,....etc
But mainly design a life style
which people live by..

The labels we apply to things are helpful in describing what we wish to convey, however, this should not limit in any way what we do. There are already a number of transitional terms that relate to a number of simultaneous artifacts, words such as caravan ( a mobile house), a boat-house, or how could one, say, apply the notion of architecture to a homeless person? This type of multi-layered projects can also be found in many a discipline. Check out the work of fashion designers such as Hussein Chalayan or Issey Miyake who both have a distinct architectural component in their work. Or the work of artist such as Rachel Whiteread, Olafur Eliasson or Langland and Bell, to mention a few...

we as architects, in my opinion are able to design whatever we want because our minds work very well in all design fields, fashion, furniture, cars ... etc.

An Architect is a designer. Architecture is all about managing things all together, and finding the most appropriate relationships between these things and how they can jointly work in both, micro and macro scales.

yes an architect can involve with cars.. "buildings" are different a hospital is not a house, a car is just another building_ you have to research about and understand its components just like understanding the functions and programs of other types of constructions, i found a link, may get you interest:

regarding comments by arch.mousawi and deema...

i dont think we can design whatever we want to... the deeper we get in, the more specialized fields we face... i dont believe a fresh graduated student can design a master plan for a city... its design, yet its hard to do it right for most of us, its where we need experiece...

@deema, if it was about researching, then anyone can build a house and design a car if he did the right research am i right?...

well, a research as you know can take years, but i didn't exclude experience from that, yes it should need practice as well. everything needs a good start.

Architects should stop meddling with other design fields and try to focus on designing flawless architecture. They cant seem to do anything right, they either make it look gorgeous and have it function like the depths of hell or even worse structured like an avalanche. Architects lack the knowledge and skill it takes to design a mass produced and engineered car. They can make it look pretty but i doubt they could make it work well. Automotive design is quite different to architecture.
